Dr.Su received his PHD degree in biomedical engineering from Huazhong university of science and technology in 2020, then he joined Porf.Xu’s team at SIAT as a postdoc researcher. His research focused on the transsynaptic tracing of neural circuits using neurotropic viruses. There are various relatively mature retrograde tracers, while analogous ideal tool for mapping synaptic outputs is not yet available. Through systematic modification and optimization, Dr.Su is working on the establishment of rigorous and high sensitive anterograde transmulti-/monosynaptic tracing systems.
