Research of Centre for Brain Connectome and Behavior is to understand the neural circuitry basis of emotions and mental disorders, which is focused on: (1) determining the structure and function of specific neuronal subtypes responsible for specific emotions, including innate fear, learned fear and anxiety; (2) elucidating the modified neural circuitproperties in mental disorders, such as schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress disorder.
