Dr. Liao received her PhD degree in Xiamen University. Her research focused on the pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration and autosomal recessive Stargardt disease.
In 2020 she joined Prof. Yu Chen’s team at SIAT, where she focused on the study of the mechanism of retinal degeneration in Alzheimer’s disease and search for the biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease.
